Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a seasoned Logistics Engineering Manager to supervise a regional team supporting Southern U.S. and Mexico facilities from Griffin, GA. The role drives safety, capacity expansion, and warehouse automation while ensuring alignment with Caterpillar standards.

You will oversee capital and continuous improvement projects, manage performance metrics, and mentor engineers to build a high-performing regional team. Travel up to 20% and onsite work five days a week are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Experience leading engineering teams within logistics, warehousing, or distribution operations.
• Track record delivering capital investment projects and deploying automated technologies such as AMRs and ASRS.
• Deep understanding of warehouse layout design, material handling processes, and capacity planning strategies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop a team of logistics engineers across Southern U.S. & Mexico facilities, aligning to standards.
• Lead initiatives focusing on safety, capacity expansion, and warehouse automation deployment.
• Provide leadership for capital and continuous improvement projects, including scope, cost estimation, execution, and tracking.
• Establish and monitor metrics for safety, throughput, capacity utilization, and cost efficiency.
• Partner with facility leadership to align engineering priorities with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with Caterpillar standards, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor engineers in skills, project execution, and professional development.
• Support long-term network planning and automation roadmap justification.
