Job summary

Caterpillar Griffin, GA is hiring a Manager, Logistics (Engineering) to lead a regional team of logistics engineers across Southern U.S. & Mexico facilities, focused on safety, capacity, efficiency, and warehouse automation. This onsite role requires up to 20% travel and relocation support is available.

Responsibilities include technical leadership, project oversight, and coordinating with facility leadership to align priorities with strategic objectives. Visa sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Experience leading and developing engineering teams within logistics, warehousing, or distribution operations.
• Track record delivering capital investment projects and deploying automated technologies (AMRs, AS/RS, advanced storage).
• Deep understanding of warehouse layout design, material handling, and capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop a team of logistics engineers across multiple facilities.
• Lead initiatives for safety, capacity expansion, efficiency, and warehouse automation.
• Provide technical leadership and oversight for capital and CI projects, including scope, cost, and performance tracking.
• Establish and monitor safety, throughput, capacity, and cost metrics across operations.
• Partner with facility leadership to align engineering priorities with business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with Caterpillar standards, safety requirements, and regulations.
• Mentor engineers in skills, project execution, and development.
• Support long-term network planning and automation investment justification.
