Job summary

The Arizona Department of Education is seeking a P-3 Regional Literacy Coach to train and support district and school literacy coaches and teachers in scientifically based reading instruction. Hybrid work is available, with travel as needed to districts.

Responsibilities include PD design, data-driven needs assessment, and collaboration with educational leaders to improve PK-3 literacy outcomes across the state.

Qualifications

• Evidence-based reading instruction experience and capacity building.
• Experience delivering professional development to district and school staff.
• Knowledge of literacy standards and assessment practices.

Responsibilities

• Train coaches and teachers in scientifically based reading instruction.
• Provide ongoing PD and coaching that is rigorous, engaging, and classroom-focused.
• Use data to identify needs and guide professional development priorities.
• Develop and disseminate guidance and resources for PreK-3 literacy.
