Job summary

Musco Sports Lighting is seeking a Regional Hub Technician for our Birmingham, Alabama office. The role involves maintenance, repair, and inspection of Musco warranty products in the field, with extensive travel (about 200–220 days/year) within the U.S. and abroad.

Responsibilities include coordinating project timelines, safe operation of aerial equipment, field reporting, and coordination with vendors and customers. A CDL may be required and a license in electrical work is preferred.

Qualifications

• Post-high school education in mechanical or electrical trades or equivalent experience preferred.
• Electrical license or ability to obtain license preferred.
• Driver's license required; Class A CDL preferred.
• Basic electrical and mechanical skills and experience.
• Electrical license or progress toward license preferred.
• Excellent technical and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
• Strong initiative and ability to work with little supervision.
• Basic computer, email, and internet skills for instructions and reporting.
• Ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
• Compliance with Federal DOT rules, including drug/alcohol testing and pre-employment checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and inspection of equipment and Musco warranty products.
• Warranty repairs on lighting projects, including ladder work and climbing poles/towers.
• Coordinate project time frames with customers, vendors, and resources.
• Maintain communication with Warranty Hub Manager about duties and schedules.
• Safely operate aerial equipment and Musco gear; inspect equipment daily/weekly/monthly.
• Provide detailed field reports and paperwork within one week of assignment.
• Package and ship RMA-related Musco parts for evaluation and testing.
• Provide leadership to crew and coordinate with vendors and customers on project management tasks.
• Drive and operate Musco equipment on service projects (CDL may be required).
• Make daily expense-related decisions.
• Other duties as assigned.
