Job summary

Musco is seeking a Regional Hub Technician for the Birmingham, Alabama office to perform maintenance, repair, and inspection of Musco warranty products in the field, with emphasis on safe operation and clear customer communication. The role requires post-high school education in mechanical or electrical trades or equivalent experience; a electrical license or the ability to obtain is preferred.

Ability to obtain a CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Post-high school education in mechanical or electrical trades or equivalent experience preferred.
• Electrical license or ability to obtain preferred.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a Driver's License; Class A CDL preferred.
• Basic electrical and mechanical skills and experience.
• Excellent technical and problem-solving ability.
• Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills.
• Strong personal initiative and ability to work with little supervision.
• Basic computer, email, and internet skills for receiving work instructions and reporting.
• Ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
• Compliance with DOT rules, pre-employment checks; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and inspection of equipment and Musco warranty products.
• Warranty repairs on lighting projects, including work from ladders and aerial lifts.
• Coordinate project time frames with customers, vendors, and resources.
• Maintain communication with Warranty Hub Manager on duties and schedules.
• Safe operation and routine inspection of aerial equipment within region.
• Provide detailed field reports and paperwork within one week.
• Package and ship RMAs for evaluation and testing.
• Lead crew and coordinate issues with vendors and customers when PM is assigned.
• Drive and operate Musco equipment on service projects; CDL may be required.
• Make daily expense-related decisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
