Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within your education, training, licensure, and scope

REGIONAL TRAVEL REQUIRED

This is a regional travel position and is not assigned to one facility.

Regional LPNs must be willing and able to regularly travel to assigned Skilled Nursing and Long-Term Care facilities approximately 35-60 miles from the Oklahoma City metro area.

Travel is an essential requirement of this position.

A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

Eligible business mileage is reimbursed in accordance with Vital Healthcare Jobs' mileage reimbursement policy.

We're looking for experienced, dependable nurses who can step into different facility environments, adapt quickly, and provide quality nursing care when facilities need additional support.

Because our regional team is often called upon during increased staffing needs, our nurses must be able to remain calm, organized, and professional in fast-paced and short-staffed environments.

What You'll Do

• Provide nursing care within your education, training, licensure, and authorized scope of practice
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered and permitted within scope of practice
• Perform nursing assessments and observations appropriate to the LPN role
• Monitor residents and promptly communicate significant changes in condition to the appropriate nursing or medical provider
• Document nursing care accurately and timely
• Follow physician orders, resident care plans, and applicable facility policies and procedures
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges as assigned
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, CNAs, nurses, and other members of the care team
• Provide appropriate direction and support to nursing assistants consistent with facility policy and applicable requirements
• Maintain resident privacy, dignity, and confidentiality
• Adapt quickly to different facilities, teams, routines, and resident assignments
• Remain calm, organized, and professional in fast-paced and short-staffed situations
• Prioritize resident care responsibilities while maintaining resident safety
• Recognize when additional clinical assistance, direction, or escalation is necessary
• Perform other nursing duties within your training, licensure, and authorized scope of practice as assigned

What You’ll Need

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing and appropriate for the position
• Minimum 1 year of recent Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) nursing experience
• Willingness and ability to regularly travel to assigned facilities approximately 35-60 miles from the Oklahoma City metro area
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in fast-paced and short-staffed environments
• Strong clinical judgment, organization, and time-management skills appropriate to the LPN role
• Ability to adapt quickly to different facility settings, teams, routines, and resident assignments
• Ability to appropriately prioritize resident care responsibilities
• Effective communication with residents, families, nursing staff, providers, and other members of the care team
• Dependability and commitment to accepted and scheduled assignments
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
