Job summary

Kingwood Skilled Nursing & Therapy is seeking a hardworking Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a supportive and well-structured team in Oklahoma City. You will administer medications, monitor residents, and contribute to a clinical culture that values nursing excellence.

• Current and unencumbered Oklahoma LPN license.
• 1+ years of experience in a Skilled Nursing or Long Term Care environment.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and administer prescribed medications and treatments per nursing techniques; ensure residents’ chart is current.
• Observe residents and document significant conditions and reactions; notify appropriate parties of changes or adverse reactions.
• Take vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess residents’ condition.
• Keep residents’ family and physician informed of changes in behavior, medications, or health conditions.
• Modify residents’ care plan, care directives, ADL and Nurse Aide flow sheets as conditions change.
• Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas.
• Collect samples and monitor catheters.
• Provide wound care.

Responsibilities and Purpose

• Obtain and administer prescribed medications and treatment in accordance with approved nursing techniques. Ensure residents’ chart is current
• Observe residents and record significant conditions and reactions. Notify appropriate parties of residents’ change in condition and reaction to drugs, treatments and significant incidents.
• Take vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of residents.
• Keep residents’ family and physician informed of any changes in resident behavior, medications or conditions of health.
• Modify residents’ care plan, care directives, Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Nurse Aide flow sheets in conjunction with residents’ changes in condition.
• Prepare and administer injections and/or enemas.
• Collect samples and monitor catheters.
• Provide wound care.

Required Experience and Education

• Current and unencumbered Oklahoma Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN)License.
• 1+ years of experience in a Skilled Nursing or Long Term Care environment.
