Job summary

HDR is hiring a North Central Region Environmental Sciences and Planning Leader to guide strategy, delivery, and staff development across the North Central region. The role requires extensive leadership, regional collaboration, and a focus on environmental services for diverse clients while traveling regionally.

Based in multiple North Central offices, the successful candidate will align operations with HDR's vision, develop personnel, and help drive business growth in a dynamic market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a professional field such as architecture or engineering and related discipline.
• 10 years of experience in a related field with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience developing and managing diverse teams across regions.
• Ability to work with regional directors, operations managers, technical and marketing staff.
• Commitment to quality, HDR values and active participation in employee-owned culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic, operational, and people leadership for the Environmental Planning Business Class.
• Align regional initiatives with enterprise plans and drive growth and delivery excellence.
• Lead coordination with Area Leaders, leadership teams, and cross-regional stakeholders.
• Support staffing, forecasting, and regional summits to optimize delivery.
• Promote inclusive, high-performance culture and pursue client-centric growth.
