Job summary

Mars Snacking North America is seeking a Regional Project Engineer to lead and/or support large capital projects across electrical, controls, Factory IT, physical automation, and Digital Plant Technology systems. This role will coordinate across engineering disciplines to drive projects from ideation to closure, with responsibilities spanning design, installation, and commissioning.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 5–10+ years in a related field, and up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, chemical, or relevant engineering field.
5–10+ years' experience in a comparable technical position in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or related industry.
Understanding of engineering disciplines: Process, Packaging, Electrical, Controls, Automation, Construction and/or Computer Services.

Responsibilities

Develop control systems for automating manufacturing processes and packaging systems.
Deliver projects to the business that provide a competitive advantage.
Design control systems concepts and equipment specifications.
Direct modifications, installation, and integration of systems (electrical, power, control, Factory IT, digital plant).
Ensure delivery of scope, time, budget, and cash flow objectives.
Maintain project adherence to scope, deliverables, and critical factors.
Communicate with steering team to achieve project objectives.
Apply technologies to gain technical competitive advantage.
