Job summary

Special Olympics Kansas is seeking a Regional Health Program Coordinator to implement Inclusive Health initiatives across South Central Kansas, including Kingman, Sedgwick, and neighboring counties. The role builds partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, volunteers, and families to expand access to quality health programming for individuals with IDD.

You will coordinate health programming, lead Healthy Athletes events, recruit volunteers, and monitor program outcomes, ensuring alignment

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Healthcare Management, Nonprofit Management, Human Services, Social Work, Education, Public Administration, Business Administration, Recreation Management, or a related field preferred.
Minimum two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in program coordination, community outreach, nonprofit operations, healthcare, public health, education, or a related field preferred.
Experience developing collaborative partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, schools, volunteers, or other external stakeholders.
Experience coordinating programs, projects, events, or community initiatives with multiple priorities and deadlines.
Experience recruiting, coordinating, or managing volunteers preferred.
Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, healthcare organizations, nonprofit organizations, or community-based programs preferred.
Experience collecting, tracking, and reporting program data and performance metrics preferred.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and ability to be insured under organizational policies.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain partnerships with healthcare providers, educational institutions, community organizations, public agencies, volunteers, and other partners.
Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate Inclusive Health programming across the region.
Lead Healthy Athletes screenings and manage event logistics, equipment, and partnerships.
Promote youth and community health initiatives through schools and community partners.
Recruit, engage, and retain volunteers and clinical directors.
Coordinate healthcare education and outreach with partner organizations.
Monitor program performance, documentation, and reporting; align with grants.
Collaborate across internal departments to ensure successful program delivery.
