Job summary

Special Olympics Kansas is seeking a Regional Health Program Coordinator to implement Inclusive Health initiatives across South Central Kansas. You will build partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, and communities to expand access to health programming for individuals with IDD.

You will coordinate health programming, manage Healthy Athletes activities, and guide volunteer engagement to improve health outcomes and program reach in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Healthcare Management, Nonprofit Management, Human Services, Social Work, Education, Public Administration, Business Administration, Recreation Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in program coordination, community outreach, nonprofit operations, healthcare, public health, education, or a related field preferred.
• Experience developing collaborative partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, schools, volunteers, or other external stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating programs, projects, events, or community initiatives with multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience recruiting, coordinating, or managing volunteers preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, healthcare organizations, nonprofit organizations, or community-based programs preferred.
• Experience collecting, tracking, and reporting program data and performance metrics preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record and ability to be insured under organizational policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with healthcare providers, educational institutions, community organizations, public agencies, volunteers, and other community partners.
• Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate Inclusive Health programming throughout the assigned region.
• Coordinate Healthy Athletes screenings and related health initiatives.
• Recruit, engage, and retain volunteers, Clinical Directors, healthcare professionals, and community partners.
• Monitor program performance and reporting in collaboration with the Data & Evaluation Coordinator.
• Collaborate with internal departments, Regional Coordinators, volunteers, healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations to ensure successful program delivery.
