Job summary

Special Olympics Kansas, Inc. seeks a Regional Health Program Coordinator to implement Inclusive Health initiatives across Western Kansas, building partnerships with healthcare providers, schools, and communities.

You will coordinate programs, manage volunteers, and drive access to quality health programming for individuals with IDD. The role emphasizes community engagement, program evaluation, and collaboration with internal teams to meet grant objectives and regional goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Health Administration, Healthcare Management, or related field preferred.
• Minimum two years of experience in program coordination, community outreach, nonprofit operations, healthcare, public health, education, or related field preferred.
• Experience developing collaborative partnerships with community organizations, healthcare providers, schools, volunteers, or other external stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating programs, projects, events, or community initiatives with multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Experience recruiting, coordinating, or managing volunteers preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with IDD, healthcare orgs, nonprofit, or community programs preferred.
• Experience collecting, tracking, and reporting program data and performance metrics preferred.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and ability to be insured under organizational policies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with healthcare providers, educational institutions, community organizations, public agencies, volunteers, and other partners.
• Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate Inclusive Health programming across the region.
• Coordinate Healthy Athletes, Young Athletes, Junior Athletes, Health Messenger, and other Inclusive Health initiatives.
• Monitor program implementation and recommend improvements to increase participation and effectiveness.
• Lead Healthy Athletes screenings and manage event logistics, volunteer coordination, equipment, and partnerships.
• Expand youth and community health programming through schools and community partners.
• Recruit, engage, and retain volunteers, healthcare professionals, and community partners.
• Coordinate provider education and outreach with healthcare organizations.
• Maintain program documentation, performance data, and reporting.
