Job summary

Merck is seeking a senior leader to guide the US Immunology Sales organization, building and developing a regional team and delivering trusted clinical communications to healthcare providers and systems.

You will own the customer portfolio, align with payer strategies, and drive regional revenue while promoting compliance and a patient-centric approach across a broad network of stakeholders.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree required.
• Minimum 10 years in sales, marketing, or managed care within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Minimum of 3 years of people management experience.
• At least 3 years’ experience building and managing customer relationships.
• Resident of the region with ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight trips within the territory.
• Strong ability to develop regional strategic business plans and implement omnichannel strategies.

Responsibilities

• Lead, recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing regional team to execute customer engagement strategies.
• Own the customer portfolio and overall customer experience across team touchpoints.
• Build and sustain relationships with senior leaders and thought leaders to support engagement.
• Align account plans with payer and managed-care considerations to optimize access and reimbursement.
• Deliver regional business results and meet defined P&L targets.
• Communicate a customer-centric vision across large teams and motivate toward shared goals.
• Contribute to national strategy and cross-functional initiatives.
• Identify and pursue opportunities to grow the business.
• Leverage payer, patient, and HCP interactions to maximize potential.
• Provide input to set annual financial goals for the assigned customer base.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
