Job summary

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Technical Sales Consultant to bridge our sales teams and utilities in the TVA US region. You will travel to customer sites, identify service opportunities for transformers and high‑voltage breakers, and define practical scope and solutions.

You will lead on-site assessments, provide technical support on tests, oil processing, and controls, and collaborate with engineering and planning teams to ensure project success.

Qualifications

• Requires 10+ years in the field on transformers and HV breakers.
• Minimum 4+ years as field crew leader or similar technical leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce CRM.
• Willingness to travel 50-60% and operate company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site assessments and technical consultations to identify service opportunities and tailor solutions for grid assets.
• Provide technical support on electrical testing, controls, and oil processing to support customer decision-making.
• Collaborate with engineering, safety, and planning teams to deliver project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Support proposals, scopes, and quotes that address customer needs and drive service sales growth.
• Build and maintain relationships with utilities, EPCs, and industrial sector customers.
• Generate detailed reports and maintain accurate CRM records.
• Represent Hitachi Energy at industry events and build market presence.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
