Job summary

Essentra seeks a Regional Sales Manager to cover the Central territory from a home-based office. The role focuses on new business development with up to 75% travel, including overnight trips, and occasional visits to Schaumburg, IL for training. You will prospect, negotiate, and close deals with OEMs and distributors.

A hunter mentality and experience selling industrial components are required. This is an individual contributor role with a base salary and bonus potential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years outside sales experience preferred; college degree a plus but not required.
• Experience selling industrial components and prospecting for new business is required.
• Strong negotiation skills with sales, pricing and contracts.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to work with others.
• Must travel up to 50-75% within the region, including overnight trips.

Responsibilities

• Prospect for new business by making sales calls in person or by phone.
• Meet with customers to identify needs and close sales deals.
• Forecast and manage customer visits and pipeline in the Essentra CRM.
• Provide quarterly sales forecast and weekly updates.
• Coordinate projects, quotes, and new product development as required.
• Communicate effectively with Essentra management.
