Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a Regional HSE Manager to lead enterprise-wide health, safety and environmental programs across regional operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• 5+ years of HSE experience in heavy civil or trenchless construction.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations.
• Strong knowledge of managing workers’ compensation and liability claims.
• Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• CSP, ASP, or CHST certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain corporate HSE policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and applicable state and local regulations.
• Conduct jobsite audits, inspections, and field safety observations.
• Lead safety training programs (confined space, excavation, equipment operation, hazard communication, etc.).
• Support VP of HSE in developing JHAs and site safety plans.
• Track safety metrics and implement corrective actions.
• Manage incident and accident reporting across the company.
• Conduct or oversee investigations for injuries, vehicle accidents, property damage, and environmental incidents.
• Serve as liaison with insurance carriers and legal counsel regarding claims.
• Manage workers’ compensation, auto liability, and general liability claims from report through closure.
• Coordinate medical treatment, return-to-work programs, and modified duty assignments.
• Maintain accurate claim records and analyze loss trends.
