Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking a Director of HSE – Services to lead health, safety, and environmental programs across field operations in multiple locations. You will develop policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous safety improvement.

The role partners with Operations, Project Management, HR, Fleet, and leadership to integrate safety into planning and execution, while mentoring regional safety teams and promoting a proactive safety culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety, environmental health, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 10 years health, safety, and environmental experience.
• Minimum 5 years leadership experience managing HSE professionals.
• Willingness to travel ~50% to multi-site locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for all health, safety, and environmental programs across field operations.
• Develop and improve company-wide HSE policies and procedures for compliance.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and local regs; manage risk and safety programs.
• Lead incident investigations and drive corrective actions and lessons learned.
• Monitor safety metrics and report insights to leadership.
• Direct field safety audits, inspections, and contractor safety qualifications.
