Job summary

Vortex Companies, LLC Riverview, FL is seeking a Regional HSE Manager to lead enterprise-wide health, safety, and environmental programs across regional operations. You will ensure regulatory compliance, drive a strong safety culture, and oversee claims handling for workers’ compensation, auto, and general liability.

You will develop policies, conduct audits, train staff, and report HSE performance to leadership. Travel to project sites will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HSE experience in heavy civil or trenchless construction.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, and environmental regulations.
• Experience with incident investigation and root cause analysis.
• CSP, ASP, or CHST certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain corporate HSE policies and procedures.
• Lead safety training programs (confined space, excavation, equipment operation, hazard communication).
• Manage workers’ compensation, auto liability, and general liability claims.
• Coordinate incident investigations and prepare documentation for reviews.
• Track safety metrics and drive corrective actions.
• Promote a proactive safety culture across the organization.
