Job summary

Topaz Fiscal Services seeks an experienced Regional HR/Payroll Director to oversee HR and payroll across multiple skilled nursing facilities in several states, including back-office employees. You will guide HR/Payroll personnel nationwide, ensure compliance with ADA, EEO, FMLA, and other wage-hour laws, and lead audits and process improvements.

You will manage full-cycle payroll, benefits administration, and employee relations while coordinating with finance and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• 5+ years experience in HR.
• 3+ years experience in Payroll.
• Healthcare/long-term care experience preferred.
• Managerial or supervisory experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and payroll software.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong math and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct HR/Payroll support to Administrators and HR/Payroll staff in multiple facilities/states.
• Conducts HR/Payroll audits and wage/timekeeping reviews.
• Collaborates with department heads to support employee matters and training.
• Leads HR functions including recruitment, payroll, benefits, workers' comp, OSHA compliance, and reporting.
• Implements system changes and process improvements with HR/payroll/management teams.
• Oversees PBJ reporting and daily PPD reports for facilities.
• Manages accruals and leave documentation.
• Supports investigations involving legal or compliance implications.
