Job Description
This is a remote role. We are looking for candidates based on the East Coast, with the ability to travel 30% of the year.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Regional HR Manager is responsible for coaching leaders, providing solutions, setting the HR vision, and managing all day-to-day HR activities. This role works closely and consultatively with Retail leaders to provide full cycle HR support, using both strategic and hands-on methods. The role will influence teams to translate business needs into a people-first strategy and build trust in every interaction by modeling Guitar Center's core values.
Job Responsibilities:
- Partner with Regional Vice President and District Managers to review, manage and optimize team performance through performance management, succession planning, and employee development.
- Conduct investigations regarding employee concerns and advise managers in resolving highly complex, and often ambiguous, employee relations situations.
- Partner with managers on the development of corrective action and implementation of performance improvement plans.
- Coach and advise managers on the performance management process and partner with them on solutions.
- Coach and drive accountability of managers with the annual performance review process.
- Promote knowledge and understanding of company policies and relevant employment laws through coaching, communication, and training.
- Partner with the Field HR team on innovative and long-term solutions to prevent issues.
- Support recruiting strategy by interviewing Store Manager and District Manager candidates and providing feedback and recommendations.
- Proactively provide thoughtful and actionable feedback to Field leaders.
- Review and analyze business metrics such as turnover, diversity reporting, exit surveys, and engagement data to recommend systemic improvements.
- Support and contribute to change efforts for business initiatives.
- Monitor the "pulse" of employees regularly to ensure high engagement levels.
- Work closely with the Regional Vice President to drive recommendations, accountability, and changes to positively impact performance, engagement, and retention.
- Maintain current knowledge of Federal and Local labor law updates, partnering with Legal or other relevant Departments as needed to ensure compliance.

REQUIREMENTS:
Qualifications
- Flexible availability with the ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in employee relations, and/or human resources.
- 2+ years of People Management experience; preferably in a fast-paced Retail environment.
