Job summary

World Market is seeking a Regional Human Resources Manager based in Alameda, CA with remote work options. You will lead HR for 45+ stores, advising field leaders and store management on performance, employee relations, compensation strategies, policy interpretation, safety and succession planning.

You will train managers, ensure compliance, and drive company initiatives while maintaining effective communication with partners and associates across levels. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in HR or a related field.
• 3+ years of management experience in HR disciplines (comp/benefits, policies, labor law, employee relations).
• Indisputable personal work characteristics with the highest level of professionalism, objectivity, and integrity in all situations.
• Excellent communication skills to convey confidence and to collaborate with all levels - from associate to the executive level.
• Ability to manage competing priorities, adapt to change, and thrive in ambiguous situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide HR support to the region focusing on associate relations, talent development, performance management and compliance.
• Partner with field leaders on solutions to staffing, retention and ER issues with strategic and tactical guidance.
• Support Company-wide initiatives to help teams achieve goals and deliver results.
• Train Managers on HR practices including coaching, discipline and hiring.
• Ensure Retail HR operations adhere to legal standards and practices.
• Respond effectively to changes in business priorities and support business partners with change management.
• Occasional travel, including overnight stays.
