Job summary

Ministry of Justice is seeking an HR Business Partnering professional within the People and Capability team (HMPPS) to support managers with complex HR cases and provide expert HR consultancy across the South Central region. The role focuses on interpreting policy, delivering core HR processes and strengthening relationships with site managers and authorities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an HR delivery role.
• Ability to build and manage diverse relationships, including with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to analyse data and apply analytics to business delivery.
• Experience applying HR policies and case management processes.

Responsibilities

• Support managers with complex HR cases and partner with central case management.
• Interpret HR policy and provide advice to managers.
• Analyse HR data to determine interventions and improvements.
• Develop options to maintain or improve performance within policy guidelines.
• Provide guidance on Employment Tribunal, Grievance, and Disciplinary matters.
• Travel to prison and probation sites within the South Central region as required.
