Job summary

Mars Veterinary Health is seeking a Hospital Maintenance Technician to support hospital facilities in the Salt Lake City, UT area. The role focuses on repair, preventive maintenance, and coordinating regional maintenance tasks with a requirement to live within 20 miles of the area.

Applicants should have at least three years in construction or maintenance, strong knowledge of electrical/plumbing, and familiarity with building tools and flooring installation.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in Construction or Maintenance are required.
• Working knowledge of construction terms, blueprints, troubleshooting electrical and plumbing.
• Experience with building construction power tools, drywall repair, painting, cabinetry, and tile installation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Live by Mars Five Principles in daily work and teamwork.
• Identify, manage, and perform facility repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Manage in-house maintenance work orders and schedule timelines.
• Oversee regional ceramic tile floor care and maintenance programs.
• Source and manage painting contractors to complete regional work.
• Perform medical equipment preventive maintenance and report damage.
• Inspect and report facility damages and construction variances.
• Communicate repairs and project updates to managers and field leaders.
• Purchase and manage hospital maintenance inventory.
• Coordinate travel within MVH guidelines and budget; occasional travel required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
