Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS) is seeking a Regional Controller to lead finance across hospital operations and support services. This role oversees General Ledger, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Decision Support, partnering with departments to ensure compliant, efficient resource use.

The position emphasizes development toward an executive financial leadership track, with responsibilities spanning strategic planning, analysis, and business development within a large healthcare network.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience coordinating and supervising acute hospital/medical center finance staff including Accounts Payable, Decision Support, General Ledger and Payroll.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Computer hardware/software skills required.
• Completion of required training programs.
• Education required: Bachelor's degree; CPA preferred.
• Regular travel throughout our Southern California Market required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the finance department including General Ledger, Payroll, Accounts Payable and Decision Support staff.
• Interact with hospital departments to ensure proper utilization and accounting of capital and operating resources.
• Support Revenue Cycle and Supply Chain components such as Business Office, Care Management, Health Information Management and Materials Management/Supply Chain.
• Focus on strategic planning, analysis, and business development as part of leadership development toward an executive financial role.
