Job summary

Indiana Department of Correction (IDOC) Hoosier Initiative for Re‑Entry (HIRE) regional coordinator role will provide workforce readiness services to incarcerated individuals and parolees within a designated region. You will also lead employer engagement to build partnerships and advocate for employment opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience applying knowledge in a similar role.
• Specialized knowledge of program area and applicable rules/regulations.
• Understanding of federal and state laws governing the programs.
• Ability to implement new principles and policies and discern implications.
• Strong communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Basic budget and accounting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Monitor KPIs to ensure program effectiveness.
• Develop, update and monitor program policies and procedures.
• Answer questions about program policies and procedures.
• Act as technical consultant to stakeholders on policies.
• Prepare and disseminate monthly and annual program reports.
• Review budget and allocate program assets appropriately.
• Monitor compliance and recommend efficiency improvements.
• Prepare training materials and train agency staff.
• Deliver communication plans and communications.
• Serve as liaison between agency and other state/federal bodies.
