Job summary

Datavant is seeking a dedicated Release of Information specialist to process medical record requests while upholding HIPAA privacy standards. The role requires extensive travel (75%+), onsite in TN regions including Nashville, Lebanon, Tullahoma, and Clarksville, with frequent coordination across multiple facilities.

You will work with electronic records, escalate issues, and ensure accurate, secure disclosure of information.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ROI and HIPAA compliance is required.
• Ability to review medical records for sensitive information.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate disclosures.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process patient health information requests.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of privileged data.
• Keep up-to-date with company and facility software.
• Follow Code of Conduct and facility policies.
• Inform manager of workload fluctuations and issues.
• Assist with additional duties as needed.
• Respond to requests for records from internal and external sources.
• Handle inbound/outbound calls related to records requests.
• Support patient walk-ins and scheduling pickups as needed.
• Train associates in HIM positions and generate routine reports.
