Job summary

The Health & Human Services Commission (HHSC) in San Antonio seeks an Assistant Regional Director (Manager V) to oversee health facility compliance operations in Regions 8_11. This exempt, full-time role coordinates complex regulatory activities, staff scheduling, and performance improvements to ensure facility compliance with CMS and state standards.

Telework is eligible. Salary range is $9,267.38 to $10,785.83 per month, with benefits including 100% paid employee health insurance for full-time

Qualifications

• Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations relevant to business functions.
• Strong leadership and supervisory experience in public administration.
• Ability to manage complex regulatory programs and staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversees scheduling and workload of health facility compliance staff in the region.
• Supervises administrative staff and manages licensure and Medicare certification processes.
• Coordinates program evaluation, SPSS/RAS/VERSA databases and enforcement actions.
