Job summary

HDR seeks a Southeast Region Health Director to lead health market growth and client engagement across the region. You will shape strategy, drive business development, and elevate HDR’s health design work through strong leadership with Health Principals and regional teams.

Ideal candidates bring 10+ years in health markets, architecture/engineering experience, and proven ability to mentor leaders, coordinate pursuits, and advance HDR’s community-focused health initiatives. Travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in architecture, engineering, planning or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of industry experience in health market sectors.
• Advanced credentials (ACHA, LEED, EDAC, etc.) preferred.
• Ability to travel and lead cross-functional teams across regional offices.

Responsibilities

• Lead annual health market strategic planning and regional target setting.
• Drive business development and client relationship growth for health projects.
• Oversee pursuit strategies, RFQ/RFP responses and proposal development.
• Mentor health leaders and support talent development across offices.
• Represent HDR in local healthcare markets and industry events.
• Drive delivery excellence and coordinate with project teams for successful outcomes.
