Job summary

Climbing Business Journal seeks a Part-time Facilities Associate to maintain one gym and assist others as needed. You will coordinate with the Director team, prioritize emergency repairs, and serve as the point of contact for capital projects.

The role reports to the Assistant Facilities Director West. You will manage tasks in Asana, perform routine maintenance, supervise rope access work, and ensure safety compliance while coordinating with regional leaders and contractors across Bay Area

Qualifications

• Part-time role with flexible schedule incl. late nights, early mornings and weekends.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and safety focus.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, aligned with gym and director goals.
• Ability to safely use and supervise power tools and ladders (training available).
• Organized and efficient, able to meet deadlines.
• Driver's license and ability to travel to all region gyms.

Responsibilities

• Meets bi-weekly with Gym management to prioritize and plan for each gym.
• Performs general maintenance on one gym.
• Uses project management software, Asana, to manage tasks.
• Coordinates with Facilities Service Providers for trades and repairs.
• Maintains maintenance logs and reports daily activities.
• Monitors equipment inventory and seeks budget approval from Regional Facilities Manager.
• Performs rope access checks and safety-related tasks as needed.
• Records expenses weekly and works within the budget for the gym.
