Job summary

Family Dollar Operations LLC is seeking a District Manager to drive growth and profitability through solid field execution across a designated region. You will oversee District Managers, validate weekly plans, and collaborate with executives to seize opportunities for expansion while enforcing company policies and standards.

You’ll lead merchandising and inventory initiatives, build financial rigor, and ensure strong customer service across stores.

Qualifications

• Degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in multi-unit management in a high volume, high velocity environment.
• Proven ability to drive profitable sales growth.
• Discount retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise all District Managers within assigned region.
• Validate DM’s weekly plans to meet business needs.
• Provide guidance and follow-up to the DM team via regular communication.
• Maintain high standards of merchandise placement, signage, inventory mix and displays.
• Develop financial acumen through business reviews and expense containment.
• Ensure urgent communications are answered in a timely manner with HQ.
• Maintain customer service excellence with internal and external customers.
• Partner with Zone VP and Field HR on training, recruitment and discipline as needed.
• Recruit and network to ensure proper staffing at all levels.
• Coordinate with Real Estate for new/expanded stores and regional growth.
• Plan regional growth for people development and staffing.
• Work with Asset Protection on loss prevention and compliance.
• TrainStore Managers and ensure brand standards are met.
• Oversee store staffing and training with Regional Team.
