Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking a District Manager to lead 15 store teams across Milwaukee and surrounding area. You will drive profitability, customer service, and compliance while coaching store managers to exceed objectives.

The role requires a hands-on leader with strong analytical and communication skills, capable of managing budgets and implementing district-wide programs. Travel up to 50% is essential to oversee operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• At least 5 years retail experience with at least 2 years multi-store management.
• Strong leadership and motivational skills to build a high-performing team.
• Ability to analyze, organize and present information and focus on results.
• Strong business acumen and communication skills.
• HR and asset protection knowledge.
• Outstanding customer service skills.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Process management experience and proficiency with MS Office.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead 15 store teams across the district to drive profitability and customer service.
• Oversee merchandising, operations, and expense control programs.
• Coach and mentor store managers to meet business objectives.
• Recruit, hire, and develop store managers within the district.
• Drive sales, profitability, and expense management to meet company goals.
• Ensure operational processes and safety/compliance standards are followed district-wide.
• Manage district budgets and drive store performance improvements.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Promote a customer-first culture with high standards across the district.
• Travel up to 50% with overnight stays as needed to oversee operations.
