Schindler Elevator Corporation in Richmond, VA seeks a General Manager to own the P&L and drive growth across service, installation and modernization within the region. You will lead district teams, shape customer strategies, and manage field operations to meet safety, quality, and financial objectives.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years in elevator-related leadership, with strong people, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or 5+ years in the elevator industry.
• 5 years of progressive experience in the elevator industry or comparable field.
• Prior experience managing a full P&L preferred.
• Strong knowledge of products, applications, installation and service procedures, financial statements, and contract terms.
• Demonstrated technical, management, negotiation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional and district operational and quality initiatives to achieve objectives.
• Lead, mentor, and manage District Service, New Installation, Sales, and Field Superintendent teams.
• Drive customer service strategy and maintain relationships with key clients and influencers.
• Plan and oversee field, marketing, and administrative resources to meet goals.
• Administer field installation and service activities, including parts and assets for cost-effective results.
• Develop and execute market plans, budgets, and sales strategies to grow revenue and market share.
• Foster participative management and high team morale in line with company philosophy.
• Analyze market, competitor, and operational changes to adjust resources and strategies.
