Job summary

ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Baton Rouge seeks an Area Manager to lead high-impact fundraising campaigns across dinners, galas, golf tournaments, and peer-to-peer events.

You will manage a donor portfolio, oversee events, and drive revenue while guiding a small team of fundraising professionals. The role requires travel about 50% and a hybrid schedule with regular presence at the Baton Rouge office.

Qualifications

• 3 years in fundraising, nonprofit development, or event management.
• Proven success in leading fundraising campaigns and managing donor portfolios.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with committee development, corporate sponsorships, and high-wealth donor engagement.

Responsibilities

• Drive revenue growth across multiple fundraising channels and align with budget targets.
• Lead and mentor a team of 2–3 fundraising professionals.
• Plan and execute major events, ensuring donor experience and logistics excellence.
• Cultivate relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and high-net-worth individuals.
• Recruit, train, and manage executive-level volunteer committees and collaborate with national board members.
• Manage campaigns in portfolio including Dream Home, radiothons, school events, and multicultural initiatives.
