Job summary

Fairfield Residential is seeking a Floating Senior Maintenance Technician to service multiple communities around the Boston area, including Chelsea, Peabody, Lawrence, and more. You will diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, carpentry, and appliances, ensure safety and cleanliness, and supervise contractors.

The role emphasizes preventative maintenance, inspections, inventory management, and resident engagement, with regional travel and a monthly auto allowance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• HVAC‑EPA (Type II) or EPA Universal license is required.
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) license is required.
• Valid driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance tasks and diagnose/repair issues in various areas (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliances).
• Respond to maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
• Maintain pool, hot tub, and other amenities; ensure safety and cleanliness of buildings and grounds.
• Schedule and document preventative maintenance and apartment turns; conduct regular inspections of common areas and equipment.
• Supervise duties and outside contractors in the absence of the Maintenance Supervisor; coordinate move-ins and move-outs.
• Assist with safety meetings and compliance with policies and regulations; report liabilities and ensure compliance.
• Maintain inventory and assist in purchasing materials and supplies; participate in resident functions.
