Job summary

Guardian Glass is seeking a Regional Float Glass Process Engineer to join our Operational Excellence team, helping improve float line operations across the Americas.

You will develop and deploy proven practices, drive quality, cost and throughput improvements, and partner with plants and global leaders in operations and OpEx to enhance our process capabilities.

The role requires up to 50% travel (Mon–Fri) and can be based at Kingsburg CA or other US facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with float glass manufacturing at full scale.
• Experience with project planning and execution (canal change, hot repairs).
• Ability to travel up to 50% in North and South America.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy proven practices for the Float glass process.
• Improve quality, performance and throughput of furnaces.
• Support sites to overcome challenges by following a disciplined problem-solving process.
• Collaborate with plants on batch chemistry to optimize quality and cost.
• Share knowledge to build skills across teams and act as SME for production float teams.
• Lead initiatives to learn from market and adopt external best practices.
