Job summary

Guardian Glass is seeking a Regional Float Glass Process Engineer to join the Operational Excellence team. This role supports float lines across the Americas, with base locations at US or Mexico facilities, including Geneva NY, Richburg SC, Carleton MI, DeWitt IA, Corsicana TX, Kingsburg CA, or El Marques MX.

You will work with plants to improve quality, throughput and cost, collaborate with regional and global leaders in operations, and travel up to 50% in North and South America.

Qualifications

• Experience in float glass process at full-scale manufacturing.
• Proven ability to plan and execute projects (e.g., canal changes, hot repairs).
• Willingness to travel up to 50% in North and South America.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy proven Float processes.
• Improve quality, performance and throughput of furnaces.
• Support sites with disciplined problem-solving to overcome challenges.
• Work with plants on batch chemistry to optimize quality and cost.
• Ensure knowledge is shared to build team skills.
• Serve as Technical SME to Guardian's production float teams for issue troubleshooting.
• Learn from market and bring best practices to Guardian's process tech.
• Present ideas and plans clearly across multiple levels.
• Work on ramp ups after major projects (canal changes, cold tank repairs).
• Implement and scale new technologies across plants.
