Job summary

Guardian Glass is seeking a Regional Float Glass Process Engineer to join our Operational Excellence team. This role can be based out of any float glass facility in the US or Mexico, including Corsicana, TX, with up to 50% travel.

You will collaborate with Guardian plants across the Americas to improve float-line operations, optimize quality, cost, and transitions, and share best practices. The position emphasizes problem-solving, technical SME support, and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Float glass process knowledge with full-scale manufacturing experience.
• Experience with project planning and execution (canal change, hot repairs, etc.).
• Ability to travel up to 50% (North and South America).

Responsibilities

• Develop and deploy proven practices for the Float
• Improve quality, performance and throughput of furnaces
• Support sites to overcome challenges using a disciplined problem-solving process
• Work with plants on batch chemistry to optimize quality, cost, and transitions
• Ensure knowledge is shared to build team skills and understanding
• Serve as Technical SME to Guardian's production float teams to troubleshoot issues
• Incorporate external market learnings to improve process technology
• Present ideas clearly across multiple levels
• Collaborate in multi-cultural, global teams
• Contribute to ramp-ups after major projects and repairs
• Implement and scale new technologies across owned plants
