Southernmed in South Carolina is seeking a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to support providers with patient work-up, vitals, lab collection and procedures within scope of practice. The role will float across offices in the Low Country Region, Charleston and surrounding areas.

You will assist with exams, specimen collection, basic lab tests, medications, patient education and chart documentation.

Qualifications

• Active CMA/RMA certification and CPR certification.
• Pediatric experience in a medical setting preferred.
• Working knowledge of computer applications and EMR systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work independently.

Responsabilités

• Escort patients to exam rooms and record vitals.
• Explain treatments and prepare patients for examinations.
• Assist physicians during exams and procedures.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens and perform basic tests.
• Manage supplies and sterilization; document in patient charts.
