Job summary

SouthernMED is seeking a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) to join our pediatric practice. In this role you will assist providers with patient work-up, med administration, and lab collection within your scope of practice, always following HIPAA and safety guidelines.

You'll perform vitals, prepare patients for exams, collect specimens, and help maintain exam rooms, supplies, and EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Active CMA/RMA required.
• CPR certification required.
• Pediatric experience preferred.
• Prior EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient work-up and exams.
• Prepare patients for examination and gather vitals.
• Collect lab specimens and perform basic tests.
• Administer medications as directed by physician.
• Maintain exam rooms and necessary medical supplies.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient privacy.
