Job summary

Horizon Air, a subsidiary of Alaska Airlines, seeks a flight attendant to deliver exceptional in-flight service while upholding safety standards. You will be based across bases and attend four weeks of paid training in Portland, OR, with opportunities to travel extensively.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of customer or community service experience.
• Uncompromising dedication to safety.
• Body size must comply with aircraft dimensions.
• Meet grooming, uniform and appearance standards.
• Able to relocate to multiple bases (Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Medford, OR; Boise, ID; Spokane, WA; Anchorage, AK; Everett, WA).
• Willingness to serve alcohol.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Flexible to work varied schedules (nights, weekends, holidays).
• Able to travel extensively.
• Must attend 4 weeks of paid training in Portland, OR.
• Must have a valid passport and be able to travel in/out of US/Canada.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with all safety regulations.
• Ensure safety equipment is in working order.
• Greet passengers and assist with seating and baggage.
• Explain and demonstrate safety equipment and emergency procedures.
• Prepare and serve meals and beverages, including alcohol.
• Market onboard products and process sales.
• Calmly handle passenger situations and medical emergencies.
• Answer questions about flight operations and destination information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
