Job summary

Horizon Air in Portland, OR seeks a flight attendant to represent Alaska Airlines on regional routes across the West. You will demonstrate in-flight service duties, safety procedures, and a friendly, professional guest experience.

This union position requires at least 2 years of customer service, the ability to pass a 4-week training in Portland, OR, age 21+, valid work authorization, and willingness to travel, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of customer or community service experience.
• Uncompromising dedication to safety.
• Ability to meet grooming and appearance standards.
• Ability to relocate to specified bases: Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Medford, OR; Boise, ID; Spokane, WA; Anchorage, AK; Everett, WA.
• Must possess and/or obtain a current passport with unrestricted travel in the US/Canada.

Responsibilities

• Comply with safety regulations and ensure all safety equipment works.
• Greet passengers and assist with seating and carry-on stowage.
• Explain and demonstrate use of safety equipment and emergency procedures.
• Prepare and serve meals and beverages, including alcohol.
• Market onboard products and process sales using a mobile device.
• Calmly resolve passenger situations, including medical emergencies.
• Answer questions regarding flight operations and provide destination information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
