Job summary

Circle K seeks an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead fleet maintenance across multiple locations in the Phoenix area. You will manage budgets, oversee vendor services, and ensure DOT/compliance requirements are met while focusing on uptime and cost efficiency.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years hands-on heavy truck maintenance and 5+ years in management, with strong knowledge of vehicle software, PeopleNet/TMT, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 8 years of hands-on heavy truck maintenance experience.
• 5 years’ experience in management.
• Strong maintenance knowledge of vehicle software systems.
• Experience with People Net, TMT, or similar software.
• Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
• Knowledge of TMT or similar fleet technology.
• Experience with onboard camera systems such as Bendix, LYTX, or similar.
• Advanced MS Office skills (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Fuel trailer experience.
• Ability to plan, execute, and launch new programs or campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Assist Fleet Managers across locations with routine and preventive maintenance per DOT requirements.
• Manage the Maintenance Department budgets and financials.
• Oversee external maintenance services, tire program, parts inventory, warranties, and damage claims.
• Assist with fuel cost tracking and reporting by terminal, product, discounting, and location.
• Leverage technology to monitor staff performance and warranty coverage.
• Ensure uptime with minimal downtime and stand time for regional units.
• Identify cost savings opportunities via root-cause analysis and ROI; present to leadership.
• Monitor third-party vendors and set KPIs for performance and pricing.
• Support lease-vs-purchase analysis including tax implications.
• Ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA/OSHA/EPA regulations.
• Maintain equipment files, licenses, inspections, warranties, and service agreements.
• Lead continuous improvement and training per DOT/OSHA/FMC policies and procedures.
