Job summary

Central Transport LLC is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead a team of mechanics across our shop network. You will hire, train, and develop mechanical staff, oversee daily shop operations, and ensure safety and DOT compliance.

Ideal candidate has 3-5 years managing tractors, trailers, and forklifts, strong budgeting and communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. Competitive salary and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years of industry knowledge and experience working on tractors, trailers, and forklifts
• 3 - 5 years of management or supervisory experience
• Strong technical and communication skills
• Ability to work in and develop a team atmosphere
• Experience and understanding of working within a budget
• Strong knowledge of Class 8 truck & trailer repair
• Knowledge of Microsoft office
• Excellent multitasking and organization skills

Responsibilities

• Hiring, training, and development of mechanical staff
• Maintain efficient productivity levels
• Ensuring shop stays in compliance with set budget
• Oversight of satellite locations with a small hourly staff
• Managing parts inventory
• General maintenance and repairs on company trailers
• Enforce & practice all company safety procedures to ensure a safe environment
• Follow all D.O.T. and OSHA safety standards
