Bimbo Bakeries USA in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee garages, staff, safety, and vendor partners within the Central US Region. You will lead maintenance programs, audits, and budget controls to ensure a reliable and efficient fleet.

The role requires 5–7 years in fleet or transportation, a related technical degree, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Office. Travel within the region may be needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
5–7 years of experience in fleet or transportation management.
Knowledge of DOT/state inspection programs and safety requirements.
Strong leadership, communication, and planning skills.
Proficiency with MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

Manage company-owned vehicles, garages, and mechanics to ensure safe, dependable fleets.
Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state and federal mandates.
Lead continuous improvement to reduce waste and improve efficiency and profitability.
Oversee vehicle repairs and coach mechanics for proper maintenance.
Lead fleet audits, preventive maintenance, and DOT/state inspections.
Monitor budgets and coordinate with third‑party maintenance providers.
