Job summary

Roadrunner Transportation Systems Inc a tes management of regional maintenance to ensure tractors and trailers operate reliably and safely. You will develop programs, lead cross-functional teams, and drive standard work across locations to meet budget and compliance targets.

The role focuses on improving fleet reliability, reducing downtime, and leveraging data to optimize maintenance strategies while aligning with safety regulations and service commitments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; technical school training or equivalent experience will be considered.
• Minimum of 7 years in fleet maintenance, mechanical systems, equipment reliability, and cost analysis.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience managing maintenance operations or regional initiatives.
• Extensive knowledge of Class 8 truck and van trailer maintenance, including brakes, suspension, tires, lighting, electrical, and hydraulics.
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, CARB, CSA, and other safety regulations; ability to travel ~25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve maintenance programs across regional facilities.
• Oversee maintenance performance across tractors, trailers, and related fleet assets to maximize availability.
• Monitor downtime, repair trends, and preventive maintenance; drive corrective actions.
• Analyze maintenance expenses and drive cost-control while maintaining safety and reliability.
• Lead cross-functional partnerships, train field personnel, and drive standard work practices.
