Job summary

Waste Pro USA Inc. in the Southeast region is seeking a Lead Fleet Excellence Manager to oversee heavy‑duty fleet performance, shop operations and preventive maintenance programs. This hands-on leader will mentor diesel technicians, build strong teams and drive cost-effective uptime across multiple locations.

You will ensure DOT/OSHA/EPA compliance, manage maintenance budgets and coordinate with safety and operations teams to optimize reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience leading heavy-duty fleet maintenance teams in the waste or heavy commercial sector.
• Proven ability to manage maintenance budgets and procure parts and vehicles.
• Strong knowledge of DOT, OSHA, EPA regulations and compliance monitoring.
• Hands-on with preventive/corrective maintenance programs and DVIRs.

Responsibilities

• Manages hiring, training, performance management, and scheduling of work assignments.
• Maintains preventive/corrective maintenance programs and service standards.
• Reviews status reports on road calls, repairs, inventory, and safety performance.
• Provides hands-on maintenance assistance as needed.
• Oversees maintenance data entry and vehicle maintenance system.
• Responds to fleet maintenance issues with root-cause analysis.
