Job summary

Wachter, Inc. is hiring a Fire Alarm/Intrusion/Access Control Service Technician to service retail locations across the United States.

You will install, troubleshoot, and repair IP video, access control, and intrusion systems while reading blueprints and maintaining safety at all times. Ideal candidates have CT electrical journeyperson credentials, field installation experience, and a willingness to travel regionally (CT/RI/MA) with some overnight work.

Qualifications

• CT C6 Electrical Limited Journeyperson license or equivalent.
• Field installation experience in Fire Alarm, Intrusion, Access Control.
• NICET certification preferred; life safety license beneficial.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of NFPA 70/72 and related codes.
• Ability to read plans and blueprints; travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair cabling systems and equipment for IP Video, Access Control, Intrusion, and LAN/WAN.
• Run low voltage cabling in commercial environments and drill concrete walls as needed.
• Complete wiring and terminations; ensure regulatory and contractual compliance.
• Install or upgrade fire alarm systems and program control panels.
• Test systems for proper operation and safety; ensure on-site quality.
• Adhere to safety requirements; coordinate with team lead and project manager.
