Job summary

Skilled Healthcare Center in Massachusetts is seeking a Regional Business Office Director to oversee all financial and billing operations for the facility. The BOM ensures accurate resident billing, timely reimbursement, and proper handling of accounts receivable and payable while coordinating with the interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate/bachelor degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years billing or business office experience (SNF/LTC preferred).
• Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/Managed Care and PDPM.
• Experience with EHR/billing systems such as MatrixCare or PCC.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all financial, billing, and related operations.
• Maintain accurate billing for Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and private pay.
• Close month-end and census reconciliations.
• Review PDPM components and payer rules.
• Monitor authorizations, coverage periods, and eligibility.
• Collaborate with MDS and Nursing for documentation compliance.
• Monitor aging, follow up on balances.
• Communicate with families, insurers, and responsible parties.
• Assist with admissions financial screening and Medicaid applications.
• Oversee accounts payable and cash management.
• Ensure CMS, Medicaid/MassHealth compliance and HIPAA.
• Provide financial reports to Administrator.
