Job summary

RSS Technology Solutions seeks a Regional Field Technician to join the Field Services Team. You will provide on-site technical support, equipment installations, and customer training across the Richmond, VA region and beyond.

You’ll troubleshoot hardware and software, manage installations, and document service activity while regularly traveling to cover the region. The role emphasizes hands-on support, brand representation, and independent problem solving, with travel and on-call rotations as

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years hands-on IT field support.
• A+ or similar certifications preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with networking concepts and troubleshooting.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the assigned region.
• Must be physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing technical work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on-site, prompt, and professional support to restore customer equipment functionality.
• Perform overnight system installations and conversions for various technology products nationwide.
• Train customers on new equipment to ensure understanding and effective use.
• Maintain vehicle inventory and ensure tools and equipment are in good working order.
• Complete service order documentation, including notes and customer sign-offs.
• Participate in on-call rotations and travel as needed for coverage.
• Act as brand ambassador, delivering outstanding customer service and upholding company standards.
• Independently analyze and resolve complex technical issues using best practices.
• Comply with pricing and policy standards when offering products or services.
