Rust Automation & Controls seeks a Field Service Technician to service instrumentation across the Western United States. The role emphasizes hands-on troubleshooting, calibration, and repair in varied industrial environments, working both independently and with internal teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate Degree in a technical field (preferred).
• Field service or industrial experience (preferred).
• Instrumentation training or apprenticeship (preferred).
• Calibration or metrology experience (preferred).
• Safety certifications or credentials (preferred).
• Strong electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Good communication and computer skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work flexible schedules.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on instrumentation service, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair in diverse industrial environments.
• Travel daily to a broad customer base across the Western United States.
• Maintain safety, quality standards, and professional communication with customers.
• Work independently while coordinating with internal service and management teams.
• Complete apprenticeship-level instrumentation training and apply learned skills.
• Adapt to customer-site requirements and varying safety rules.
